More lesson opportunities available
Home State Bank provided free swimming lessons last week for 53 youngsters at the Jefferson municipal pool. The classes were taught by the Red Cross-certified pool staff.

Registration is close to full for a second week of free lessons sponsored by Farmers Mutual Insurance. Jefferson park and recreation is offering a two week-long sessions, with July 9-13 intended for Jefferson children, and July 16-20 for children from Paton, Churdan and Scranton. Classes are from 10 to 10:50 am. Evening lessons will be taught July 23-27 from 5:30 to 6:15 pm.
